I'm also very fond of the compactness and direct feedback of the DD games - the landscapes of, say, Skyrim look great, but wandering around takes forever and it's not like you have equivalently more gameplay in that time.<br /><br />If you get the hang of it, DD2 plays in some unusual lands, like Africa- and Japan-based scenarios.
